Whenever her SS official dad and additionally mother, a staunch Nazi believer, are captured by the victorious Allies at the end of World War II, the 14-year-old German lady Lore (eye-catching newcomer Saskia Rosendahl) will have to direct this girl 4 siblings for a harrowing journey all over a devastated nation. Whenever she meets the charismatic and mystic small refugee Thomas (Kai Malina, The White Ribbon), Lore later on finds this girl world shattered by emotions of hatred and desire because she needs to place her trust in the very individual she was always presented to despise so as to survive.
